Hit-series SimsalaGrimm has twice the reason to celebrates in 2019: not only that it is the 20-year anniversary since the show’s first broadcast on German television, but the series has also found a new home with the Fabula Media Group.
Based on the famous fairy tales and characters of the Brothers Grimm and other classics, the popular heroes YoYo and DocCroc have been experiencing exciting adventures for 20 years and have firmly established themselves on German television. The internationally acclaimed series, with two seasons and 56 episodes, has been sold in over 140 countries worldwide, making it one of the most successful German TV programs on the international market.
After Greenlight Media had moved from animation production to documentary and other genres after producing the second season of SimslaGrimm, the producers felt it was important to give the series a new chance at Fabula Media Group.
Old and new fans of the series can look forward to the future: Fabula is planning the production of a third season, as well as a movie project.
